About Anigre Wood
Anigre timber wood, also commonly referred to as Anegre and Aniegre, is an African tropical hardwood that is commonly found in tropical areas of East Africa. The Anigre tree is typically 100-180 ft (30-55 m) tall and has a 3-4 ft (1.0-1.2 m) trunk diameter. The heartwood is light yellowish-brown in color, which may turn to golden brown with age.
Due to its non-durable and non-resistant rating, Anigre is not largely suitable for outdoor wood projects. But, it’s widely used as veneer and for interior furniture and plywood construction. Also, boat building and carpentry using Anigre timber are not uncommon.
